Services - On-site
Support and networking services
If your business requires IT support / maintenance for a couple of hours per week, a couple of hours per month or just on demand at short notice, you'll find our hourly rate very refreshing at just £38 + VAT. This same rate also applies to consultancy such as carrying out a complete network audit with a report of recommendations.
Many of our clients now enjoy the peace of mind and added value that are gained through our fixed-price support contracts with rolling 1-month agreements, priority reactive IT helpdesk and also pro-active maintenance to keep your whole network performing well.
We are so comfortable with the quality and value of our services, that we don't need a hard sell. You don't even need to call us (but you can if you want to!) because we've put our tariffs online. Optimised desktop and laptop PC setup
Two or three years later, many of our "optimised" PCs are still running faster than the first time they were plugged in.
Once you've experienced the increased efficiency and performance of our "optimised Windows installation", you'll never use a new PC straight out of the box again. Manufacturers "bundle" lots of third-party software and allegedly useful utilities because they get paid to do so but the truth is that most of them are never used. They simply slow the PC down, irritating and delaying users with frequent pop-up messages and "your trial has expired" warnings. Clearing these out and tuning Windows to improve startup times and general performance is our speciality and really sets us apart from other IT businesses.
We can unpack and set up a new PC in your office, cable it up, join it to your network and sort out Internet, email and printer connections, apply our "optimised Windows installation" and then download and install all appropriate Windows security updates and apply your preferred applications such as anti-virus software and Microsoft Office (plus service packs).
Our typical charge for this is just 3 hours labour, though it can actually take all day so we prefer to configure systems off-site and then bring them into your office once they are all completed, updated and tested. We have many happy clients who can confirm that this is money well spent and who return to us for this service every time they want to add another PC to their network.
Internet / email / network connections
Organisations of all types and sizes now rely on email and the Internet as business-critical services so it can have a real impact on productivity (and your bottom line profit) when these systems go down. Fortunately, we've been fixing email and Internet issues since 1996 and can resolve most issues within an hour, costing just £38 + VAT. We can also assist with changing broadband provider to a faster, cheaper or more reliable service and can be used to project manage the procurement and implementation of new connections.
Windows startup problems
With virus and spyware outbreaks and hardware and software installation problems becoming increasingly common, it isn't unusual to find that, one day, your PC won't start up properly. We can quickly diagnose and rectify many startup problems, re-install Windows and all of your applications and/or pinpoint and replace faulty hardware components ...... and we're also rather good at recovering all of your files that you had been meaning to back up for a while!
Hardware Upgrades and Repairs
Many small business owners find that, even after just a couple of years, their PCs and servers can no longer keep up with how they want their business to expand and the new software that they want to use. Fortunately, a complete replacement is usually not necessary - less than £100 is usually all that is needed for a useful hard disk or RAM (memory) upgrade to give your PC or server the vital boost that it needs. Upgrading rather than replacing PCs and servers increases their useful life and, therefore, reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO).
Examples prices:
Additional 1GB RAM for laptop PC - approximately £65 + VAT supplied and installed
Additional 2GB RAM for server - approximately £85 + VAT supplied and installed
Additional 500GB hard disk storage - approximately £90 + VAT supplied and installed
